Western Slope Beanie

The Western Slope Beanie is now available on Ravelry and in my Etsy Shop! It features a gorgeous braided cable that sits between a squishy, stretchy rib pattern with just the perfect amount of slouch. This beanie is both cozy and stylish and will fit into anyone’s wardrobe. The instructions are written for two sizes: adult medium (21” / 53cm) and adult large (23” / 58cm) and includes optional instructions for a no-cable western rib version for a simpler look. The pattern calls for two skeins of Sierra Rose Alpacas DK Yarn (100% alpaca; 125 yards / 114 metres) or approximately 210 (245) yards / 192 (224) metres of a DK weight alpaca or wool yarn. Wear it on your next trek through your favorite mountain trail.

Sensu Lace Scarf

The Sensu Lace Scarf is now available now on Ravelry and in my Etsy Shop! This lightweight lacy scarf is a perfect accessory for in between seasons, when it’s too warm for our cozy wool cowls, and still too cool for bare skin. It features a repeating motif depicting a Japanese folding fan, known as a sensu. It works up to around 7”/17.75 cm wide and 6’/1.83 m long after blocking and has a garter stitch border around a repeating lace panel. The pattern calls for a total of 420 yards/384 meters of fingering weight yarn and the sample is made with two skeins of Earth Treasures Yarn: Superfine Airy 3-ply. The yarn chosen for this scarf features alpaca for warmth and silk for strength that adds a touch of elegance to this project.
